With the ringing in of 2016, it is appropriate to take a look back on our past. 2015 was an eventful year that saw much change. The world is different today than it was 15 years ago when I first stepped into the classroom. Teaching, as a profession, is much different also. Some would say the profession is in trouble. One thing that is no different about the profession, however, is the meaning that teachers receive from working with young people.
Presidents Club Award 2013. This award is given to the very top sales consultants within the company and is the highest honor for the sales team. That same year, she was awarded the L'Oreal Changemaker Award-1st Place for her Division's excellence and impact to L'Oreal's USA Marketing Team.
Kristina's success vaulted her into promotion soon there after. She became a Premium Sales Consultant for the Redken and Pureology brands. Success in that position has most recently seen her promoted to The Divisional Brand Manager-Michigan, Ohio and Indiana for Redken and Pureology.
Kristina's success at L'Oreal is no coincidence. Her work ethic, drive and determination go with her all the way back to her days at THS. A career in sales seems like a natural fit for a student gifted with exceptional interpersonal skills and a willingness to help others.
Kristina is clear about the fact that helping others is a rewarding aspect about her job. "One of the important aspects of my job, that I enjoy the most, is having the ability to spread the knowledge I have gained in one way or in another, to others and to be able to influence them in their professional career. Whether it is training a sales consultant or manager on a product or promotion, or giving them a tip that makes their life/job just a little bit easier, it is very rewarding to watch people grow under my leadership."
Kristina finishes with this advice for students."One thing I would add is, getting my bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Marketing has been the best decision that I have ever made. When you get a degree in a field such as business, there are so many opportunities that present themselves. Every employer can use a business major in some fashion and the job market is always plentiful. If you can find a way to get in with a company such as L’Oreal, be humble starting from an entry level job and take the time to prove yourself."
Congratulations Kristina and continued success!
